Oyvind Berg
CEO and FOUNDER
Oyvind Berg started his 25-year-long career in aviation as a pilot in Norway, and founded the largest and highly successful flight school in that country. Later, he led other companies to success in the health and wellness field. In the late 1990s, Oyvind Berg was President of a company that sold products dedicated to how one looks on the outside. It was his diagnosis and treatment of cancer in 2009 that resulted in Oyvind intensifying his exploration of the multi-sensory therapy system designed to create a sense of well-being that emanates from the inside.
“During my cancer treatment, one of the things that was so overwhelming to me was the almost complete lack of emotional care given to cancer patients. I found it alarming that there was so little support in that area.”
Passionate about finding a non-invasive, drug-free emotional support system, Berg reached out to his former colleagues and asked if they would be interested in development of what has now become CLAS Wellness.
“Our primary interest with CLAS Wellness is to help people live a better life with less stress, less anxiety, and without the introduction of prescribed drugs.” -
Elisabeth Rosse
CO-FOUNDER
Elisabeth Rosse is the co-creator of CLAS Wellness. In addition to her private practice as a psychotherapist in Bordeaux, France, Rosse worked with students’ personal abilities assessments, emerging professional interests and managing emotional stress at the Institution Notre Dame in Bordeaux, and received her diploma in Victimology from Washington University. She trained in the use of Dr. Alfred Tomatis’ therapeutic use of sound vibration and Dr. Agrapart’s Chinese energetics of chromotherapy.
“One day, I received a call from Pascal Luong, the director of BioMedical Electronics (BME) here in Bordeaux that focused on research and development aspects of health and well-being. Mr. Luong said, ‘we know you are a psychologist using chromotherapy and sound. We are looking for someone to work with us to develop a new way of curing’. I said, ‘yes’.”
Rosse joined BME and with the help of sound engineers, musicians, software programmers, photographers, animators, and artists, began working on the co-creation of CLAS Wellness. “And that was the beginning of a fantastic adventure.” -
